During the war between the States (1861-1865) The Tellico Iron Works produced cannonballs and bullets for the confederacy. In December 1863, General Sherman, U.S. Army, with his troops came to Tellico Plains and destroyed the works.

Such a beautiful spot. Very peaceful! The Chicken Alfredo is genuinely the best thing I have ever tasted in my life! Everyone at our table tried it and agreed. I am sad I don't live in the state, so I can get it all the time. I also recommend the club sandwhich, fried okra and chicken wings.
Nice restaurant, definitely one to come back. Iron Works Grille is a great place to taste a nice burger while enjoying a river view in the Smoke Mountains. Personnel is friendly and prices are reasonable. A++
Enjoyed relaxing lunch by the the river. Recommend Cannonball Hamburger and Fried Trout, both were delicious.
Food was very good and decent prices. Staff was very friendly. Recommend going.
